Bonjour!
For those of you who aren't aware (or have been living under a rock), I traveled to Québec from July 5th to August 7th for my second french-language Explore Program.
You see, I had this vision of sharing my photos and stories with you at one point or another.. Then life happened.. and well, now it's today. (Yes, that is more than a month ago, I'm aware.) But better late than never, am I right?

Looking through the multitude of photos taken during my five week stay in the small city of Rivière-du-Loup, Québec creates a storm of mixed emotions. It is bittersweet really, to remember the memories made during walks down the path to the grocery store, working on projects in the "salon" (lounge) at the Cégep, or lounging in the cafés of Rue Lafontaine. Places like these are where faces whom were once strangers from across the country, became friends in a matter of time.
Nonetheless, here's attempt number one at redeeming myself for the lack of photos. Enjoy!

During the evening hour of this particular Friday out in Rivière-du-Loup, my sidekick/ bestie Andrea and I decided to go out and shoot the "coucher de soleil" (sunset). This was definitely one for the books!
The sky along the Saint Lawrence River in Québec is exceptionally beautiful midst dusk and dawn. For two summers in a row, I have felt blessed to capture such alluring beauty.
One of the things I noticed when I first visited Québec was how early the sun sets compared to home. Yep, nearly an hour difference!
The Big Man upstairs really put on a show for us, as you can see.
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
(Psalm 19:1)
P.S. I am thinking of making a little series of my trip. What do you say?
Stay tuned!
