The rain has letup, allowing the sun to shine again (for now)! In light of the frigid weather we withstand here in Manitoba I am eternally awed by the way nature manages to flourish each year. There's no denying summer is my favourite season. It's in full swing - the bees are busy, the beach is the buzz and there's yard work to do, of course.
Throughout the past couple weeks warm weather has swayed me to commit to giving my camera a spin or two outdoors. Notice the newest addition to the family zoo has finally sneaked her way into the blog (below)! Jinx is a curious Min-Pin who enjoys whining any time we step outside (God forbid we abandon her momentarily). Besides hiding treats in slippers as a part time hobby, she loves to be outside where she has been a loyal pal to Zhoda. It is hard to deny Jinx has become an inclusive part of the family in the past four months.
Before having the chance to cut the grass (which in areas was nearly taller than poor Jinx at the time) an abundance of dandelions endorsed the lawn. Accompanying these colourful golden visitors were budding trees and clusters of blossoming flowers. In the name of being barefoot, watching my dog laughingly unwind within a bucket of water, there's no wonder this is my favourite time of year.
Take a look at these photos which I'm sure will motivate you to get out!
